Intelligent sensors for the web
The Setrix S-3700 sensor system uses the internet (or intranet) to
collect distributed information about events, objects, persons, meter
readouts or other common visual information. Setrix S-3700 stores
the chronological sequence of events and reports important alarms
via telephone, mobile phone, e-mail or fax. This modular and compact
system combines state-of-the-art computing and communications technology.
It is particularly suitable for use in cost-sensitive areas.
Multi-purpose device
Setrix S-3700 combines these outstanding capabilities in a single
device. It acquires both monochrome and color images and it does local
analysis and interpretation of image contents. Archives of symbolic
information or compressed images are maintained locally. Data is only
transmitted on-demand. Multiple networking interfaces are available
in the Setrix S-3700. Permanent self-diagnostic and availability checks
of the communications channels guarantees high availability. The Setrix
S-3700 operates as web client or web server. A flexible set of notification
mechanisms, ranging from SMS text messages to online video streams
allows adaptation to suit the available bandwidth and the type of
information desired. User-based access rights ensure high information
security.
Smart Sensor Management
Setrix S-3700 is designed as an autonomous system with high computing
power and minimum energy consumption. Specific hardware components
and a reliable operating system provide flawless continous operation.
Setrix S-3700 can be installed with minimal effort. The extensive
use of web technology allows centralized administration of large numbers
of Setrix S-3700. The individual parameterization of the individual
Setrix S-3700 is possible.
Communication makes it all
Typical applications for Setrix S-3700 are: distributed readout of
oil, gas, water and electrical meters and monitoring tasks in facility
management that require reliable, powerful and low-cost data communication.
Setrix S-3700 provides this functionality. Up to three independant
communication channels can be used at the same time. Both application
and user define when and how data is transmitted. Data transfer is
triggered by the Setrix S-3700 or externally. Networking can be established
with other Setrix S-3700, stationary or mobile communication devices
(phone, fax) or supervisory control and messaging systems. Setrix
S-3700 provides tailored, matching and low-cost telecommunication
structures to collect distributed information. |
