Munich - September 2002 Siemens Building Technnnologies uses Setrix technology for Energy Management.
Siemens Building Techologies, HVAC Products, a major maker of radio-based heating and water meters uses Setrix communications systems to automatically transmit consumption data to billing systems. The usage data for the individual households is transmitted to transceivers on each floor. These transceivers are locally networked within the building via M-Bu s. The Setrix system also lends this network a cost-effective communications gateway to the internet or intranet. Energy usage data is transmitted both securely and cost-effectively to the billing syst em in the preferred data format at any time without obtaining access to the apartment. The usage data can be stored for extended periods before transmission to the utility headquarters at pre-selected accounting times.

Munich, -- January 31, 2000

Setrix AG, Munich announces "Wireless Brains", a world-class innovation, at the GSM Conference 2000.
The Internet-ready Setrix S-3700 combines image acquisition, built-in analysis and interpretation of image content and the archiving of symbolic information in a single device the size of a telephone handset. The advantages of the system are autonomous operation, contact-less and non-invasive extraction of information, and message transmission on-demand.

Princeton, NJ -- January 14, 2000 Setrix, Inc. announces the first meter reading application for Setrix S-3700.
The new software performs local readout of analog utility meters such as oil, gas, water and electrical meters, without the need for any physical contact with the meters. It performs local analysis and interpretation of image content to obtain the readout value, and triggers predefined actions such as the transmission of messages via a wireless GSM network. The Setrix S-3700 sensor brings an economic solution to remote monitoring and management of distributed meters. Setrix, Inc., a subsidiary of Setrix AG., develops vision-based software solutions for the S-3700 visual sensor system from Setrix AG.
